Synopsis

I want to say when a book contains truth, no matter how long ago it was written, it is never out of date. That is how I feel about this work, "Out From Darkness," by Ben Alexander. Being a reviewer there are many times that I put aside books I would like to read and pick up those I have committed to read. That was the case with this book. I do believe it sat in my b ookcase for several years, to my shame. The other day it almost called out to me and I picked it up and read it in one day. As many of you know by my reviews I am a Christian and strongly believe we are in the end-times. I feel that the forces of darkness are becoming stronger around us, that said, to me this book gives great insight into the dangers of many of those forces. The author, Ben Alexander, do to a series of sad happenings plunged himself into the world of spiritualism. He spent years sitting in rooms with others of his belief, and watching the evil forces manifest in one way or another. At first to him it was exciting, different, and as he said, proof to him that there was life after death. Deth being a fear he could not shake. The problem, as with dabbling in anything dark, it becomes more fear motivated than love motivated. Comfort, protection, love, security, all the elements that are found when Jesus is sought were absent in what was happening around Ben. Terror overtook him and thankfully while living in America, he found the path that led to life, Jesus, and turned from the darkness. In his book he exposes many of the dark side happenings, from Spiritualism to Witchc raft, into E.S.P. and Reincarnation, to name a few. He gives explanations of each and Scripture as to why you should run, not walk away from them. He also gives many stories of people who were caught up in the web of deceit that the enemy sows. This is a great book, one that every Christian should read to be armed in warfare and one that ever person should read who is looking for Spiritual insight.
