Out of the Fog: On Politics, Feminism and Coming Alive

A powerful exploration of feminism, politics, and personal awakening in a confusing world.

From racialised police brutality to climate change, #MeToo, ‘trans rights,’ COVID-19, the prospect of nuclear war, and the prevalence of trauma—we are constantly bombarded with high stakes problems that we are expected to speak out about and act on. On closer inspection, the popular solutions to each of these problems aren’t easy to reconcile.

Out of the Fog cuts through the confusion. Renée Gerlich suggests that readers move beyond feeling overwhelmed and emotionally manipulated. This collection of essays encourages women to reclaim their power, connect with their authentic selves, and find a path toward making a difference in a world that often feels impossible to navigate. For women seeking clarity, courage, and a renewed sense of purpose.
