About the Author

Smitu Kothari is one of India's leading scholar activists and a co-editor of the Lokayan Bulletin, New Delhi. He has been a Visiting Professor at Cornell and Princeton Universities.

Zia Mian is a physicist and writer from Pakistan, and is currently at Princeton University.
