Nancy J. Ruda (nanc) made her debut as a published author with her first novel, Outside In. After reading it, her audience asked, “Then, what happened?” The sequel, Inside Out, is the answer to their question.
In grammar school, nanc was convinced that she wanted to be a teacher. All of that changed during her sophomore year in high school when she joined the staff of the student newspaper. That’s when she knew she wanted to be a writer. She graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in journalism/advertising and went on to work as a copywriter, editor, and account manager for several major advertising and promotion agencies in Chicago. She opened her advertising and promotion agency, njr Marketing Enterprises, in 1997.
She wrote her first novel in her head while on solo training runs for marathons, triathlons, and road races. When she sat down to write her story (some 20 years later!), the words flowed naturally, and the story developed quickly. Before readers finished her first book, she was well on her way to completing the sequel.
