New York: D. Appleton and Company, 1896. Conrad's second book, perhaps under-rated due to its appearance just prior to his three greatest works; still, a worthy read. This is a Very Good copy of the First American Edition. Green cloth binding with decorations and titling in black, red, and gilt. The front cover features the logo for Appleton's "Town and Country" series. Clean text; 335 pages, with a ten-page catalong in the rear. Toning at the page margins; mild wear to covers, with rubbing to the foot of the spine. The gutter is cracked at the first leaf but holding perfectly well. Fifth Edition. Decorative Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7�" - 9�" tall.

We accept checks and money orders in US Dollars. Credit card orders are accepted through ABE. California residents must add appropriate sales tax (currently 7.25%). Items are returnable for any reason within ten days of receipt (please email or call first before returning item).
