First English edition. Octavo. xxiv, 416 pp. Publisher's pale crimson cloth over boards, gilt spine lettering. Spine sunned to a even brown. Clean and tight.Originally published in 1922, this title is considered one of his most enlightening texts. He treats the "unseen world" in great detail and presents methods by which the seeker can expand his 'doors of perception' to fully enter into that plane of knowledge. Considered a seminal book in any study of Steiner. While Steiner had long since parted ways with Besant and Co., the two camps remained very friendly and held each other in high esteem. In fact, the first edition was co-published by the Theosophical Society.
