Ru Ro Outline of Universal Language (Classic Reprint)

This book explores the fascinating history of the quest for a universal language, a dream that has captivated thinkers for centuries. From the ancient Romans who sought to impose Latin throughout their empire to the Renaissance scholars who pondered the potential of reviving Greek, the author delves into the diverse approaches to language unification. The book delves into the philosophical and practical challenges of creating a new language, examining the a priori and a posteriori methods and analyzing the attempts of Urquhart, Dalgarno, and Bishop Wilkins. The author examines the reasons why past attempts to create a universal language have failed and ultimately proposes a new language, "R0," constructed on the a priori principle. This book is a thought-provoking exploration of the complexities of language, its power to shape thought and culture, and the potential for a truly universal language to unite the world.
