From "John Cassell's Educational Course". Not dated; edition not known; circa mid 1850s. In good half brown leather and brown and green and black mottled boards, gilt titles to back strip. The covers are very tight and straight, clean, leather on spine is faded and the ends worn. Red/brown end papers, name on front free end paper; otherwise unmarked. Tanned cut edges; fore edge also foxed. The text block is in good condition, tightly bound and square, with untanned pages, and foxing on fore edges, especially to Glossary and Index. With about 300 'beautiful engravings'.

Clevedon Community Bookshop, co-operatively owned, opened on 31 December 2011 and now has a general stock of approximately 20,000 books. Our Bookshop is in Copse Road in Clevedon and is open every day of the week except Mondays, from 10.30am to 4.30pm. The Bookshop Co-operative comprises nearly 650 members from around the world and was set up to stop the only second-hand bookshop in our town from closing. The benefit of being a member/shareholder is only social: no-one benefits financially. All profits are used to improve the bookshop and its stock, and, through events, to contribute to the literacy and literary profile of our town. We take care to describe our books accurately and in detail, and to pack them so that they arrive with you in the same condition that they leave us. However,

Shipping terms
We pack our books in corrugated book wrap or book boxes. We try to respond to orders the same day as we receive them or during the next business day. Shipping costs are based on books weighing up to 1.1 lb, or 0.5KG. If your book order is particularly heavy or oversized, we may contact you to request an additional payment to cover extra postage costs.
