Spine sunned, rubbing to joints and corners but still a sturdy and complete copy in the original binding.Gilbert Thomas Burnett was a British botanist. Burnett was the first professor of botany at King's College London, from 1831 to 1835. He was the author of Outlines of Botany (1835), and Illustrations of Useful Plants employed in the Arts and Medicine, published posthumously and illustrated by his sister M. A. Burnett. In addition, he was a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, associate editor of the London Medical and Surgical Journal and a contributor to several medical journals of the period.
