Similar decorations and gilt-stamped lettering on spine but spine is too sunned and damaged to tell. Loss on edges at head and tail of spine. Outside back spine gutter is cracked, several rub throughs on front spine gutter. Fore-edge tips are bumped and rubbed. External edges are age- and soil-darkened. Inside front and gutters are cracked but holding. Ads on all end-papers. Hand-colored frontispiece with tissue-guard. Incredible in-text illustrations throughout.
