As a Canadian Press representative at the Paris Peace Conference, John Dafoe was able to tour many of the battlefields in France where the Canadians had fought. In Over the Canadian Battlefields he provides his observations of the conditions left by the war, discusses and reflects on the actions and experience of the Canadian corps, and considers the developing memorialization and the pilgrimages that would be coming. John Wesley Dafoe (1866-1944) was a well-respected Canadian journalist, author, and the editor of the Manitoba Free Press (Winnipeg) for four decades. Seller Inventory # 015214
