Across Monkey Mountain (Space and Position, for children of 5-6 years old) is a set of mathematical painting books. It collects 18 stories which are not only familiar to children but also helpful for promoting children's concept of numbers. Stories and games allow children to master the concept of numbers naturally in the process of reading, thinking, doing and talking, which is helpful for the development of their thinking ability. Children are allowed to understand the concept of numbers implied in the stories and carry out mathematical activities and games following the hints of the books, so that they can develop their mathematical skills. Imitating Monkeys is a widely-known folk story which is helpful for guiding children to learn the notions of position, such as up, down, left, right, front and back.
