Overcoming the Behavior Challenge of Pain in Adults: An Intervention Guide for Support

Overcoming the Behavior Challenge of Sleep for Adults is a compassionate, step-by-step guide designed for adults—and the professionals or caregivers who support them—who struggle with sleep due to anxiety, neurodivergence, or disrupted routines. For many adults with Autism, ADHD, Intellectual Disabilities, or related needs, sleep isn’t just about being tired—it’s a daily challenge influenced by sensory sensitivities, racing thoughts, fear around bedtime, or difficulty with routine.

This book offers real, usable strategies to turn sleep struggles into sleep success. Created by a team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), and Registered Nurses (RNs), this guide walks you through how to:

• Create and maintain personalized, manageable bedtime routine
• Reduce nighttime anxiety and resistance
• Use calming strategies and visual supports that actually work
• Build healthier sleep habits with small, sustainable changes

Whether you’re an adult working on your own sleep goals, or a clinician, caregiver, or family member supporting someone you love, this guide gives you the tools and confidence to build better nights—one step at a time.

You deserve rest. You deserve peace. And yes—You GOT THIS.
