Overkill : An Alex Hawke Novel

It’s a frosty Christmas Day high in St. Moritz. Alex Hawke and his son Alexei’s skiing holiday turns into a nightmare when Hawke’s young son inexplicably goes missing from the gondola they were on.

Meanwhile, in Moscow, Vladimir Putin’s political world is crumbling and he makes a desperate midnight escape. But on his jet en route to the South of France, there is a sudden “malfunction” in the oxygen system. Accidental? Not likely. Within minutes, Putin saves himself by parachuting into the night skies over Provence.

To find his son, Hawke summons his trusted colleagues, Chief Inspector of Scotland Yard Ambrose Congreve and former U.S. Navy SEAL Stokely Jones Jr., and recruits a group of elite soldiers of fortune known as “Thunder and Lightning.” With their help, Hawke must figure out who took his boy—and why.

Hidden deep within Falcon’s Lair, the former Nazi Alpine complex created for Hitler, Putin is amassing an impressive armory that he intends to deploy to assure his triumphant return to Moscow.

Only one man can smash the Russian president’s plan for domination—a master counterspy who will cross every line to save his son...and maybe save the world in the bargain.

Suspenseful, fast-paced, action-packed, Overkill is another spy classic by the author of Patriot and Tsar, with a plot twist that will remind readers of 007’s Goldfinger.
