A complete run of this Yippie newspaper following its name change from The Yipster Times to Overthrow in 1979. Printed and published out of the Yippie headquarters at 9 Bleecker St. in NYC, the paper became known for its subversive content and framable full-color centerfold posters lampooning politicians (esp. Ronald Reagan), advocating for marijuana legalization, and supporting social justice movements. Articles covered government surveillance, environmentalism and nuclear energy, international liberation movements, drug legalization, Rock Against Racism, culture jamming, and U.S. military intervention abroad.
