Size 280mmX215mm. Every known species of owl is illustrated in colour. Eighty of the rarer owls have been specially painted for the book by John Rignall, and his accurate and accurate pictures are complemented by approximately 90 colour photographs and distribution maps. These, together with an authoritative and informative text, which has been revised and updated to include recent discoveries and re-evaluations, make this a valuable book for the amateur natural historian and the scientist alike. **The name of the previous owner is written at the top of the flyleaf.**.
