Born and raised in the Southern Appalachian Mountains, Will Reed’s interest in journalism began in high school working part-time for a local newspaper. After graduation, he meets a host of unforgettable characters as his life takes a number of detours in pursuit of making a living and creating a career for himself. By happenstance, Will meets a college journalism professor who becomes a friend and mentor. As Will develops his writing techniques and reporting skills, he covers assignments for publications throughout the region that take him beyond expectations.
