LE PARFAIT AMBASSADEUR, DIVISE EN TROIS PARTIES. COMPOSE EN ESPAGNOL PAR DON ANTONIO DE VERA ET DE CUNNIGA

[26], 240, [2], 241-517, [5]pp. Octavo (16 x 10cm). Both volumes preceded by frontispiece of king receiving two ambassadors. Conduct manual for diplomats originally published in Spanish as El Enbaxador in 1620 and here 'nouvellement traduit en Francois'. Contemporary full calf, spine with raised bands and decorated gilt. sig. * apparently missing from table of contents. Title faded from spine the head and foot of which are chipped and worn. Otherwise very nice clean example. The original Spanish edition is extremely scarce.
