Chad Jerguson works full time as an analyst for a federally funded clandestine organization. His day job is an attorney for a foster care agency. Being an attorney is a passion he chose to give back to his community. His main job is dangerous and his livelihood. He’s also a recruiter for the organization that doesn’t exist. Megan Swift was recruited by Jerguson to join the Missouri Tactical Analyst Force. He was her handler when she agreed to join MoTAF. Swift is assigned to be the handler of the very same person she placed in witness protection. The clock is ticking. There are those who know the fruit hasn’t fallen far from the tree. The demise of the mastermind behind a terrorism plot has left the plan to be completed by those who were part of his sleeper group. Swift, is strong-willed and harbors inner demons. With the help of Jerguson, her best friend, she confronts those fears alongside his own. They soon find they have more in common than previously thought and begin to tear down the self-imposed wall between them while in the mist of danger.
