A multidisciplinary approach can be defined as “sine qua non” in Greek words which means attaining a long-term therapeutic target of comfort, good function, treatment predictability, longevity, and ease of restorative and maintenance care. Hence treatment planning should be an evidence-based approach and ideally should aim to preserve the biologic environment while maintaining or restoring esthetics, comfort and function. Also, understanding the interaction between different aspects of dentistry is of crucial importance as there are often challenges in the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of different pathologic and physiologic conditions.
