Perspectives is a four-skills series in American and British English that teaches learners to think critically and to develop the language skills they need to find their own voice in English. The carefully-guided language lessons, real-world stories, and TED Talks motivate learners to think creatively and communicate effectively. In Perspectives, learners develop an open mind, a critical eye and a clear voice in English.

About the Authors

Hugh Dellar is a teacher, teacher trainer, and coursebook writer based in London. He has over twenty-five years of experience in the field and is the co-founder of Lexical Lab. He has co-authored two five-level General English series, Outcomes and Innovations, both published by National Geographic Learning, and one level of the high-school series Perspectives.

Andrew has been in English language teaching for over thirty years. He started out as a teacher in Valencia, Spain. Since then he has largely worked in colleges and universities in London but also spent four more years in Spain and conducted talks and workshops many other countries. He met Hugh at the University of Westminster and started writing with him on the series Innovations. Since then they have written several coursebook series as well as methodology books (Teaching Lexically DELTA Publishing) and Grammar Nonsense and what to do about it. After leaving Westminster in 2014 Andrew and Hugh have been running www.lexicallab.com which provides online language classes for teachers and other professional development both online and face-to-face. Andrew has a wide variety of interest outside of ELT including reading, theatre-going, dancing, gardening, playing football and politics. He currently lives in London with his wife, Nadera, and her dog.

Prometeo es ese h�roe de la mitolog�a griega que pretende construir un mundo a la medida del hombre. En 1975 aparece la Librer�a Proteo. El nombre hace referencia a un dios marino, tambi�n de la mitolog�a griega, caracterizado por sus capacidades adaptativas. El paso del tiempo nos obliga a transformarnos en una empresa cada vez m�s eficiente pero sin menoscabo de su vocaci�n germinal de servicio a la cultura, en un contexto laboral digno y en una pr�ctica de un comercio serio y equitativo. En todo ello seguimos, despu�s de 43 a�os de existencia. Nuestro pensamiento sigue puesto en un buen trabajo, en una actividad de fomento de la cultura y en una presencia perdurable en la ciudad. En el a�o 2004 llevamos a cabo la rehabilitaci�n de la casa donde radica Librer�a Proteo siguiendo criterios ecol�gicos. En esa actuaci�n se descubri� la Torre del siglo XIII de la antigua Puerta de Buenaventura y se integr� en la fachada del edificio y en el interior de la librer�a.
