Legatura moderna in pieno marocchino bordeaux con titolo impresso in oro al piatto anteriore, tre filetti e disegni fitomorfi in oro ai piatti; tagli dorati; dorso a nervi con impressioni decorative in oro. Guardie sostituite all?epoca della legatura. Marca tipografica dell?editore (fenice tra le fiamme che si sprigionano da una sfera alata con le iniziali IGF e motto ?Semper eadem?) al frontespizio ed in fine.Prima ed unica edizione di questo ricercato prosimetro sullo stile dell'Arcadia del Sannazzaro. Il piacevole intreccio, ambientato a Roma, � basato su amori pastorali.Edizione particolarmente interessante perch� � la sola dei Giolito, padre e figlio, senza indicazione tipografica tranne per le iniziali I.G.F. sulla marca che sono quelle di Giovanni Giolito.Bell'esemplare, prima ed ultima carta leggermente sciupate.
