Bound in maroon cloth, this is a near-fine copy with the gilt stamping on the spine without blemish. The corners and edges are free of injury or soiling; truly a very nice copy. A curious addition here is the apparent "author's signature" on the title page and on a "Game No.--" card (laid in) which, in ink, shows the spelling of Petrosian with a double "s", leaving serious doubt to its authenticity.
