Chart and printed manilla envelope are both in Very Good condition, with a small vertical tear along the top of the middle fold and minor corner wear to the envelope. Unfolded, the chart measures approximately 41.25 by 42 inches wide. Editor's Note states the following: "The COSUNA Correlation Charts are intended to show stratigraphic columns which provide fairly complete coverage of the geology of the United States. In most cases, these columns are generalizations of the geology of an area and do not represent single surface or subsurface locations. Because the COSUNA Charts are correlation charts and not cross sections their vertical scale is time, not thickness. Due to this difference, a number of features which may be shown in cross sections cannot be shown on correlation charts.
