The TIA Portal section describes the differences between Step 7 and TIA Portal, providing examples of various common system functions for mode control. Arrays, UDTs and indirect addressing are covered, and a variety of examples are provided for different types of routine. An additional 21 exercises with solutions are included with mapping, recipe and part tracking, communications, trending, PID and more. Examples of all IEC 61131-3 languages are shown.
