Item description from seller

Book size about 5 1/2 by 7 1/2 inches with some 320 pages. Bound in light brown cloth with extensive black decoration on front cover and spine--spine lettering in gilt. Seventeen chapters in all beginning with 'The Education of The Negro' and closing with 'The Duty of the South'. A plea for progress in the assimilation of negroes into society. Scarce book. Light overall wear; spine top frayed and light fraying to the tips; previous owner name in pencil on FFEP; few pencil marks. A nice tight book with undamaged hinges--quite presentable.
