Stepping forward to mentor others is one of the most important impacts a person can have in today's relationally handicapped society. Unfortunately, we have made relationships very complicated. The hope is that this manual will help you to prepare yourself and others to take the challenge.

Coach Faust is a proud father of two young adults. He has been happily married to his wife Rebecca for 28 years. Coach Faust has enjoyed many roles including, high school head coaching, high school defensive and offensive coordinator, college assistant, and many years of volunteer coaching. He has published in several professional journals and is a regular contributor to local newspapers. He recently released his second book, The Next Level, as part of a series of integrity-based books. In addition to coaching Kurt was in education for 25 years, seven years as a middle school teacher and 18 years as a high school counselor. He continues to be an active member of the educational community speaking and presenting to audiences about bullying, integrity, self-esteem, and healthy relationships. Recently, he has started to mentor adults in the area encouraging them to be committed to a positive life journey and helping them develop sustainable patterns of integrity. He is the coordinator of Dad2Dad (a monthly gathering of men) The Lighthouse Project (an integrity based program for at risk males), STEP UP Dads (a teen father group) and Hallway Hero (a program designed to bring men in to our schools). He is also the founder of STEP UP Coach Inc., a non-profit dedicated to training coaches and changing the negative culture of athletics. Kurt's greatest passion is answering God's call to serve others and challenge others to walk as followers of Jesus Christ. His mission filters deeply in to all he does with STEP UP Coach Inc.
