Dark olive paper covers with a faux-suede finish; covers' edges overlap those of text block but with only light bumping resulting; decorative exterior string through a double-hole punch spine margin (but binding is stapled thrice). Missing pages 1-2 which is a blank ffep (evidenced by another copy in inventory); first paged leaf is title (i.e. pages 3-4) which is present. Laid-in between front cover verso and title is well toned group of pages from "New Mexico Sentinel" newspaper of Sunday, August 7, 1938 with long article :We Americans" by Kate Horsley Doty. Kate Doty's contribution to book is poem "Yeibachai" appears on page 24 where family postcard is laid-in (along with two unrelated and unused New Mexico postcards). Minor soiling and foxing but pages overall remain clean. Some rust to staples but binding is firm. {Poetry-Shelf#2}.
