POET'S PERSPECTIVES: READING, WRITING, AND TEACHING POETRY

For any teacher faced with a universal groan from students when introducing poetry into the curriculum, Poets' Perspectives is the remedy. Editors Charles Duke and Sally Jacobsen have addressed their book to classroom teachers who seek to understand how a poem is created and how that act of creation and the resulting text can become a significant reading and writing experience for students.
