Blue front cover strongly rubbed with primary title lettering inked-in; some toning and stains to white spine and white rear cover; slight scuffing at edges. Text block edges have some toning/foxing and several small stains with latter shallowly affecting a few leaves at margins. Light foxing/toning to initial and rear leaves but interior text pages overall remain clean. Binding is firm. With introductory leaf featuring short bios of the contributors (pages iii-iv), Preface, Introduction, Appendix A - "Major Points and Changes in the Constitution of 1970," and Selected Bibliography. Features ten chapters titled as: "The Arkansas Background;" "Constitutional and Legislative History;" "The Convention Meets;" "The Delegates: Characteristics and Attitudes;" "The Delegates Vote;" "Leadership Patterns;" "The Constitution Examined;" "The Ratification Campaign;" "The Profile of Defeat;" and "Conclusion.".
