Visor inicia con los 'Pombos' de Gomez de la Serna una colecci�n de letras madrile�as contempor�neas aquel caf� tuvo, desde 1912 hasta la guerra incivil, su tertulia y su diario G�mez de la Serna: describi� ese caf� hasta el ultimo rinc�n, le dedico centenares de paginas, dibujo fragmentos, le busco antecedentes, trazo comparaciones. Nunca un simple local publico fue objeto de semejante culto, motivo de parecida inspiraci�n. Pombo , el primer volumen (publicado en 1918) y La sagrada cripta de Pombo (1924) muestran en 1.600 p�ginas reconstruidas e ilustradas con profusi�n por el editor, Jes�s Garc�a S�nchez, todas las formas de ese universo peque�o y las de otro, cambiante e infinito. Pombo es como un buque varado, lleno de aventuras y de g�neros, y por el se pasean parroquianos reales como Bagar�a, Bacarisse, los hermanos Bergam�n, Tom�s Borr�s, Guti�rrez Solana, Cansinos-As�ns, Picasso, Sagarra, Romero de Torres. Otros son fantasmas, literatura pura, gente a la que G�mez de la Serna retrata de cerca con su pluma inflamada y precisa ( para algunos elogiosa en exceso). Goya y F�garo ( es decir, Larra), por ejemplo, "que aqu� no se trata de aparentar, de hacer m�ritos , de demostrar conocimientos o grandes amistades, sino de estar bien con la realidad que respiramos y respirar con una l�gica profunda". Ram�n los re�na en su l�gica inobjetable (" Larra es en la literatura lo que Goya en la pintura, haciendo cuadros m�s chicos"), y mientras ve a F�garo en un rinc�n describe un pa�s entero: " En hacerse hombre verdadero y articulista verdadero, aqu�, hay tan gran esfuerzo como en ser Shakespeare en otro sitio". Tanto que hac�a un siglo ya que Larra ( Madrid, 1809-1837) hab�a elegido la muerte. G�mez de la Serna lo resucita Pombo con muchos otros. Los dos poetas madrile�os, unidos por la sombra del exilio (interior uno, bonaerense el otro), reaparecen juntos. El c�rculo se cierra con esta nueva colecci�n: el d�a 11, la reedici�n de Larra, anatom�a de un dandy, ensayo del ramoniano Umbral con prologo de Jos� Hierro, se presenta en el Circulo de Bellas Artes con la de los Pombos.>> Miguel Mora. Shipping Terms

Priority Mail Domestic shipping rates are set for any book that fits into international Priority Mail flat rate envelope (limit 4 lbs., 10x12 inch size). If the book is larger or heavier, higher fees may be requested. Media mail rates are for any book under 5 lbs.
Priority Mail International shipping rates are set for any book or books that will fit into a flat rate Priority Mail envelope, weighing 4 lbs. or less. If weight or size are higher, we will need to request higher rates also.
Our experience with Priority Mail International shipments has been generally negative. Delivery for shipments that the USPS mail estimates in 6 to 8 business days, have experienced delivery delays to many countries running into two months. Even our most patient and understanding customers have been tremendously dissapointed. Unfortunately there is not much we can do. The approximate delivery dates listed on the USPS are hardly ever kept. Customers write annoyed but we have little to do with the delivery of a particular package once it is in the hands of the International Mail.

**CUSTOMS & IMPORT FEES:
Many countries are now requiring paymet of customs and import fees. Buyers are always responsible to pay those fees at the destination country. LEA Book Distributors is in no way responsible for such fees. We advise buyers to follow up promptly any such request in order to avoid delivery delays.
