Folio (15 x 11 ), stiff gray paper covers enclosing 32 separate and loose numbered leaves of text (19) and image plates (11) reproducing works of international writers and artists of the mid-20th century. Title / Contents page (edge-worn) and contributors pages are present. Includes the first separate appearance of Charles Olson's poem "The Moebus Strip" [later Moebius], (Leaf Nine, 7x10 as shown) issued here prior to being included in Olson's third book, X & Y, published by Black Sun in 1949. Also Children of the Albatross / An Excerpt from a novel in preparation by Anaïs Nin (Leaf Twelve, partially pictured), and many other works of poetry, prose, criticism, art and photography. The front cover has the silver sticker over the portfolio s date. The fragile covers are chipped, spine-edge torn and entirely separated along the spine fold and bottom flap; a corner has a small piece missing. However, the leaves and plates are complete and in Very Good condition, clean and crisp with only an occasional old faint finger smudge to a lower corner. Will be carefully wrapped and shipped with rigid backing to prevent further stress to the fragile covers. Seller Inventory # J2361
