Original unframed signed watercolour. 37 x 23cm. Born in Queensland in 1887, the son of German immigrants. In 1905, the family left for German New Guinea as Government settlers and became plantation owners. A photocopy of an article in the Pacific Islands Monthly of June 1970, recounts his story and accompanies the portrait. Seller Inventory # 71064
