Very rare American reprint of the 1835 Harding & Lepard edition, missing Vol 2 only. Although spines are ragged and chipped (esp vols 4 & 5 with letters missing), these volumes are otherwise in very good condition, unmarked, little or no foxing, tight bindings, with many pages still uncut. The 220 engravings are superb, each with printed protective interleaf. Each volume 6-1/2 x 9-1/4, approx 300 pp, with 20 engravings each. 11 hardcover volumes w half-black spines over black cloth w gilt print; Good with badly chipped spines, all contents and plates VG.
