A group of 4 "FAB" Patchwork Post Cards - The Art Needlework Postcard Series from letterpress printer and lithographer, W.N. Sharpe. The cards were produced 1900 to about 1910 and featured a satin or silk fabric square attached to the front of the paper with a variety of themes or series. It was popular during Edwardian times to remove the patches from the card and create other home crafts such as pin cushions or fancy doilies. Offered here are 4 from a series of Buildings and Monuments, featuring scenes of Blackpool, The Royal Exchange, London, New Tower Clock, Morecambe, and Mansion House. Unused cards with divided backs in near fine condition showing a trace of wear along the edges of two of the cards. Sold as a group of four with reduced shipping charges calculated for this lightweight package. Other 'patchwork' postcards are available from this bookseller.
