Loosely inserted is a typed explanation by the artist of the process of making the book. A fine copy of this rare artists' book. This book consists of Xerox prints in various sizes of family postcards. The prints are hand colored with prismacolor and watercolor on mylar and Saunders Waterford paper. This book is considered one of the first artists' books that Laura Wait had executed. From the artist: "In January of 1994 my husband, Bob, and I purchased a Xerox machine for our design business. This machine could enlarge & decrease images, print on several sizes . and had a photo setting to translate images without turning them entirely black. I have been collecting postcards since I was five. I pulled them out and vaguely started sorting them into categories. I had an idea that I might want to do a book with them using our new machin. Eventually I started looking at the ones that were really interesting to me- the family postcards.
