Octavo. I: xxx, 498; II: [2], 1027 pp. Riley's Edition, lacking Volume 1. In contemporary sheep, heavily worn. Spines are darkened and desiccated, Part II is lacking the volume label and with the title label laid in; worn at the extremities, boards are only tentatively attached. Textblocks are solid; contents are foxed. A serviceable binding or research copy of one of two American editions, this edition was issued as a 2 volume set, in 3 books. This present offering constitutes both parts of Volume II but lacks Volume I. Uncommon to find this set in part or whole in any early edition. Shaw & Shoemaker 47590.
