Black cloth, texture and blind-stamped borders, gilt spine lettering, slight top outer corner and top. sp. rubbing otherwise clean and bright. t.p. + xxi + (1+ 23 - 669 + 2 (pub.notices), 61 numbered text ills; brown end-papers with good end-gutters, verso fr. end-paper has small 'withdrawn' stamp over brief ms. inscription 'Bid.14', lower t.p. has similar stamp over small early oval lib. stamp 'Bibliothe. Coll.Reg. Med.Edin', i.e. EdinburghRoyal Medical College, this too early to be offensive I think and as good a provenance as any, no other lib.marks, internally clean, tight and unmarked, no tanning or gutter openings, top edge slightly dusty. Apparently scarce. 15.5 cm x 23 cm.
