This exam requires a passing score for prospective teachers to receive a public school teaching certification. No other preparation material covers the math portion of the Praxis I exam as comprehensively as this book does, with 23 chapters of lessons, in addition to assessments and a final test. This study guide begins with pre-algebra material and leads up to algebra and geometry, including word problems and graphs. This book was written by 10 authors, most with advanced degrees, all with tutoring experience and or teaching experience, all of whom have tutored the Praxis I math section. The editor and chief has a BA in geophysical sciences from the University of Chicago, and a Masters in Education from Johns Hopkins University. He has tutored math through calculus, SAT math prep, and Praxis I math Prep for 14 years.
