The piece relates to the material culture surrounding Camp David, the secluded presidential retreat used by successive United States presidents for private meetings, diplomacy, and official hospitality. Chrome finish Zippo cigar lighter with a large Presidential eagle seal and Camp David identification on the face. The lighter retains its original box. No date, presentation inscription, recipient information, or documentation establishing the circumstances of its distribution is supplied, and it should therefore be described as a Camp David associated object rather than as a documented presidential presentation piece. The lighter preserves a tangible example of presidential retreat memorabilia connected with one of the best known sites of twentieth century American executive history. Its original box remains with the lighter. Condition appears excellent.
