Published in 1777, this is the fifth edition of this classic text on Scottish Law, bound in an old full leather binding, 8.5 inches tall approx., 509 pages plus a lengthy index. The book was originally the property of Mr George Jeffrey of the New Kelso estate in Lochcarron Ross Shire, with his bookplate to the front pastedown, and names in ink to the title page and endpapers. CONDITION The leather binding has some general rubbing wear, some ink scribbling to back cover, else binding is in solid condition, internally endpapers browned with written inscriptions, a few light marks within, a few creases else contents in good general condition.
