London. no date (19thc?) Eyre and Spottiswoode. Two volumes. Full pale leather with full gilt trim. All edges strongly and brightly gilt. Books are each one inch thick and 4-11/3 inch tall and 2-3/4 inches wide. Previous owner has carefully removed front blank end paper from each volume (apparently to remove his name). Housed on original leatherbound box but this box lacks the lid flap and top portion of the metal clasp o/w it is sound. Books are very clean; no hinges cracked; bindings very secure. Two volume set.
