This book looks at the role of prophecy in Christianity. It starts by looking at the principles behind prophecy such as the calling of prophets, the place of prophecy, and prophetic style and diction. It then goes on to explain how those principles have been applied in the Bible for both Jews and Christians. Included are footnotes, appendices, and an index. This copy is clean and solid. This edition is a reprint of the 1865 edition. The corner of the front free endpaper has been clipped.
