Item description from seller

346pp. Later printing, ca. 1940. Sewn binding in blue cloth. Light bump to fore head corner, otherwise exceedingly clean and sharp; with the scarce dust jacket, severed along the front spine fold and worn around the edges. Gaebelein was a highly influential figure in American Fundamentalism helping to codify and synthesize the Dispensationalist eschatological hermeneutic that was foundational to the nascent Evangelical movement. A cohort of C. I. Scofield's, he wrote much of the content for the famed 'Scofield' study bible. His commentary on Ezekiel is one of the primary sources for Gaebelein's mature teaching on prophecy. DJ's marketing blurb states: 'As the age is rapidly nearing the fulfillment of Ezekiel's unfulfilled prophecies (chapters XXXVI-XLVIII) the study of this book is extremely timely.'.
