vii+402+32 (pub.lists), 56 (I make it) text figs; 2 dated sigs to front endpaper, one 1905, the other (mine alas) 1977, otherwise internally unmarked, ragged edge to last text leaf from clumsy opening, pub.list tanned and spots to rear endpaper though front good. Red cloth covers clean and minimally worn - just slight rubbing to front joint and corners, spine a shade faded. Despite minor faults a very good copy of this extremely rare classic exposition of U.S. functionalist psychology by its leading advocate, does not significantly differ from 1st ed. but has a 'few verbal changes' and typographical errors corrected. This may be the 1st UK issue.
