Durante muchos años le di vueltas a un texto literario que descifrara el sentido y el destino de la Europa moderna a la orilla de tres puentes señeros: el Ponte Vecchio florentino, con el primer Renacimiento; el viejo Puente de Londres, hoy desaparecido, con el brote de la «gentry» rural y antipapista y el Pont Neuf parisino, labrado en piedra entre el Barrio Latino y el Louvre, entre las ideas y el poder, y cuyos cubos de piedra guardaron, clandestinos, los libros que cimentaron la conciencia colectiva actual. Siempre lo fui aplazando hasta mi jubilación. AUTOR Nace en Sevilla en 1940. Licenciado en Ciencias Químicas y Doctor en Ciencias de la Información. Profesor Titular jubilado en la Facultad de Información de la Universidad de Sevilla. Hombre de izquierdas y devoto de la cultura, animó en su ciudad el «Club Gorca» a mediados de los años setenta y la Librería «Antonio Machado» a finales de los ochenta.
