Perfect bound in printed stiff wrappers.121 pp with index and black and white photographs. Very good, toning to the covers and a short closed tear bottom right front cover. This pamphlet is a historical reference of essays and articles that delve into the everyday decorative and useful arts in New Jersey during the 18th and 19th centuries. It is profusely illustrated with images of various tools, utensils, and gadgets that were used in rural New Jersey, providing a glimpse into the country life and social customs of the time. Included is a letter with its original envelope from 1949 from the New Jersey Agricultural Society gifting the book.
