S�dtirol gilt heute als Musterbeispiel f�r erfolgreiche Integration einer ethnischen Minderheit, die rechtlichen Grundlagen daf�r mussten allerdings hart erk�mpft werden. Ein Meilenstein auf dem Weg zur konkreten Umsetzung war das Jahr 1969. Die in einer legend�ren Versammlung der S�dtiroler Volkspartei im Kursaal von Meran hart erk�mpfte Abstimmung zum „Paket“ am 23. November 1969 und deren anschlie�ende Ratifizierung durch �sterreich und Italien machten den Weg f�r ein zweites, erweitertes Autonomiestatut frei. Die Historikerin Martha Stocker besch�ftigt sich anl�sslich des 50-Jahr-Jubil�ums detailliert mit der „Paketschlacht“, diesem legend�ren, erbitterten Ringen um ein F�r und Wider dieses umstrittenen Ma�nahmenkatalogs. Dabei beleuchtet sie nicht nur das historische Ereignis selbst, sondern analysiert dieses auch in seinen Auswirkungen bis heute.
