Otherwise complete and in good condition. * StBH 1492. First and only edition of a small polyglot bible, containing the first 4 chapters of Genesis. Contains Hebrew, Arabic, Samaritan, Syriac and Ethiopic script. Including the Glossarium Linguarum Orientalium octuplex: Hebraicum, Chaldaicum, syriacum, samaritanum, arabicum, aethiopicum, persicum, et rabbinicum. Frankfurt 1702. Georg Otho (1634-1713) was a German orientalist, professor and librarian at the University of Marburg. This is the copy of Dr. phil. N. Porges (most probably Nathan Porges (1848-1924).
