Rainforest Publications' guides are highly portable, weigh almost nothing, yet are durable and accordion out to display 12 'pages' plus front and back 'covers' of full color, detailed, scientifically-accurate illustrations showing the trees, details of the leaves and flowers, the names in English, Latin, and Spanish, and the size of the tree.

When folded, the guide is only 3.5" (9cm) by 8.75" (22 cm) and when spread is approx. 24" (61cm) by 8.75" (22 cm) (printed on both sides).

The illustrations are printed with fade-resistant inks and covered with UV resistant film that is waterproof. The guides are both flexible and durable, and designed for years of use both on your trips and as a quick reference when at home.

The illustrator, Enrique Leal, is one of the tops in his area of interest. The scientific authority is Ruth Rodr�guez, a well-respected Costa Rican naturalist.
